Like many kids who ended up working as directors, Brian’s calling was at the age of 8 when he saw behind the scene photographs of Star Wars. It was a ‘Man behind the curtain’ moment for him. Seeing Blade Runner at the age of 10 sealed the deal and he studied Hitchcock and Spielberg books from that age religiously. Borrowing a camera from RTE at the age of 12, Brian made his first short film. Think ‘Blair Witch’ …made by kids… in the 80’s. Before he got to college, he was already exhibiting photography but was intrigued by 3D animation which was still new at the time. However, with a career in design and 3D animation he kept coming back to directing, his ultimate obsession. Designing shots, working with actors, cinematographers and producers is Brian’s oxygen.
